ON 25TH APRIL 2015 A 7.9 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HIT NEPAL, CAUSING THE DEATH OF MORE THAN 7000 PEOPLE. ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOODS OF HOUSES BUILT WITH TRADITIONAL METHODS FELL IN THE HISTORICAL CITY OF BHAKTAPUR.
LOCAL RESIDENTS ARE ASSESSING THE DAMAGE IN THE DEVASTATED JENLA NEIGHBORHOOD OF BHAKTAPUR, WHERE 90% OF THE HOUSES WERE DAMAGED.
